The action at Kokonsaari

July 11 1808, R=Jegor Ivanovitch Wlastoff S=Otto von Fieandt

After finally having lost Vasa to the Swedish, the russians marched east to set up their defence. Reinforced with the retreating troops under Jankovitch, from Nykarleby, Wlastoff was able to defeat a swedish force under von Fieandt, in one of the most intense battles of the war.
