| One of  my big
hobbies is painting. I have been painting in oil since 1990,
and now, when I am retired, I have attend  the Open
University of applied sciences in Nykarleby, our neighbour
town, for two years. Today Anders and I are studying art in
the Nordic Art School in Kokkola. It is a three year long
part-time education for adults. On Tuesday evenings we have
lectures on modern art and art philosophy by the school´s
visiting teachers, on Thursday evenings there is model
drawing with live model. And once a month we have courses in
different subjects: drawing, tempera painting, acrylic
painting, graphic art and so on. |

 Sculpture

This sculpture made with iron wire was my last work in Nykarleby. Picture shows me finishing it before it was put on display at an exhibition at the Aspegren´s Garden in 2008. Now it stands in front of our home in central Jakobstad! (Photo: Anders Lerbacka)
