I had just seen a flock of various species of Parus birds moving from tree to tree during their midvinter hunt for food. Maybe Sharovipteryx also move around in groups.

The Pterosaur is a yet unnamed early Dsungaripterid. Most of the "reconstruction" of this pterosaur is very hypothetical.

The possibility that Archaeopteryx might have had these leg feathers was presented in 2006 by Nick Longrich.

(anatomically incorrect legs on the flying/gliding one)

This painting was made for an article by Rolf Österblad and Vasabladet in 2003. Microraptor had just been described.
The earliest reconstructions got it all wrong with the legs and I went along and copied the mistake.

Plants are Cycads, small Blechnum-type ferns, clubmoss and Araucaria. Sinosauropteryx looks large in this one.

At the time of making this painting not much was known about Argentinosaurus apart from it being huge and heavy. I based the head upon other South American sauropods.
